Cliq, a Costa-Mesa based provider of electronic payments founded by Andy Phillips, a member of Sage Executive Group in Orange County, has been named one of the nation’s Top Ten retail payment companies by Retail CIO Outlook.
Phillips was featured in the magazine’s cover story, which said that as a result of the worldwide pandemic, “contactless” payments have been catapulted into the mainstream consciousness.
The article described Phillips’ almost four decades in the payment processing industry and his founding of Cliq after setting up and building a string of companies.
“Instead of requiring our customers to fit into our box,” Phillips said, “we are committed to developing solutions to fit into theirs.”
An important component of the company’s winning formula, the article said, is the capacity to “facilitate merchants’ digital transactions with ease.”
Phillips said that Cliq is committed to providing “innovative merchant processing services,” pointing out that “historically, companies in the payment processing space have been exclusively focused on pricing, which gravely impacted their profit margins and service levels.”
